the story
"To be a filmmaker, you have to lead, you have to be psychotic in your desire to do something. People always like the easy route. You have to push very hard to get something unusual, something different."
- Danny Boyle
Founded by filmmaker Alfie Beecher in 2019, Abnormal Behaviour began as professional branding for Alfie's own festival-bound, independent short films.
Recognised as a stepping stone to feature film, short films often move through film festivals without ever reaching the wider audience of feature film or TV. Abnormal Behaviour wants to change that and become a recognised production company that supports and represents the best of independent short films.
Soon, Abnormal Behaviour hopes to introduce several tools for young creatives and independent projects to help support and represent young filmmakers, with ideas to move into distribution in the future; pushing the best of independent short films to the wider audience of feature film and TV as well as continuing to support young, burgeoning filmmakers not only through production but also through the festival circuit and beyond.
